Mgr. Miroslav Starý
Cílem přednášky je představení některých, řádově 20ti až 30ti, důležitých i méně významných, známých (S. Champlain, Pocahontas, Pontiac, W. Penn, L. Buade de Frontenac, Uncas, L.-J. Montcalm), méně známých (W. Johnson, J. Eliot, R. Williams, E. Brûlé, M. Rowlandsonová) i neznámých (Teganissorens, Kondiaronk, Miantonomo, J. Lamberville, R. Livingston, T. Dongan) osobností Severní Ameriky, které ovlivňovaly její vývoj přibližně v letech 1600-1770. Půjde o pestrý výběr objevitelů, kolonistů, guvernérů, misionářů a v neposlední řadě i domorodců. V menší míře budou zastoupeny i ženy, které hrály mnohdy nenápadnou, ale často klíčovou roli v některých událostech. Důraz bude kladen nejen na „státotvorné“ či „válečné“ činy těchto lidí, ale pokud existuje možnost to zjistit, i na jejich rodinný život či neduhy a slabosti.
Přednáška bude zakončena kolokviem, event. jinou atestací na základě dohody. Podmínkou pro atestaci je aktivní účast na přednáškách.
