Curriculum

The programme consists of a few mandatory courses for double-subject students:
  • Modern historiography
  • Comparative history
  • Culture and society in European history
  • Relationship between economics and politics
The single-subject students take additionally the following courses:
  • Introduction to European studies
  • History of political systems
  • History of non-European societies
  • Mentalities of premodern men and women 
  • Questions of the historical science
Substantial part of the study proceeds in the specified number of:
  • Optional seminars
  • Optional lectures
Crucial for the students who take history as their diploma subject is:
  •   History seminar (MA thesis writing)
